Discover Wallets to Copy
Copy trading works when you find the right wallet. The trader needs a consistent, repeatable edge — not just a good month.
Sources of Edge on Polymarket
Not all profitable wallets are worth copying. Understanding where the edge comes from matters.
Knowledge-based — genuine expertise in specific domains. Politics, sports, macro. They win because they know more than the market. This is the edge that translates to followers.
HFT / Algorithmic — low-latency infrastructure, quantitative pricing models. They win on speed and technology. By the time your trade executes, the edge is already gone.
Arbitrage — exploiting price inefficiencies across markets. Fast and mechanical. Not always replicable by a follower.
Follower farming — some wallets build a following deliberately, then use copiers as exit liquidity. They open a position, followers copy, price moves, they exit into that demand. The wallet looks profitable. The followers are not.
Metrics That Matter
Evaluate a wallet like a fund strategy. These are the numbers to look at:
Sharpe Ratio — above 2 Measures risk-adjusted return consistency. A Sharpe above 2 indicates genuine edge. Below 1 — you'd be better off putting that capital in stablecoin yield.
Volume-Weighted ROI — above 1% Profit per dollar traded. If ROI on volume is below 1%, the edge likely comes from execution speed or pricing infrastructure — nothing left for a follower after slippage. Look for wallets clearly above this threshold.
Max Drawdown — below 25% The worst historical peak-to-trough drop. Keep in mind your own drawdown as a follower can be larger depending on how you replicate position sizes. Pick a threshold you can actually hold through without panic-closing.
Median Holding Time Short holding times — minutes — typically signal HFT or arb. Strategies with longer holds give you a realistic chance of getting a similar entry.
Last Month PnL Easy to read, easy to misuse. A strong last month can be one lucky trade. Always cross-check with Sharpe and drawdown before acting on it.
